Hi SF IRL! There's a ton of vibrance and energy coming back into the city and at SF IRL, we are excited to be a part of it. Excited to come with you all with some great events for Issue #32 of SF IRL.
Big update: Due to the number of events that we've been having in the Bay, we are moving toward weekly SF IRL newsletters now.
I'm Jonathan, the creator of SF IRL. I've been a Bay Area resident all my life and just moved into San Francisco about 1.5 years ago. My full-time job is at Brex as an XIR where I meet founders and VCs while trying to create a community in the city. My vision for SF IRL is simple. Showcase the best tech + startup events in SF and to connect all of our builders and investors together. We are a growing community having over 2700+ subscribers. What: SF Game Development is excited to announce our annual GDC 2023 Meetup/Party hosted at DNA Lounge on Tuesday, March 21st from 7:00pm-Midnight. Make sure to RSVP for our event on Meetup or Eventbrite for FREE entry to our event.
We listened to feedback from last years event, and we've split the event into three separate rooms focused around: music, tech talks and video game demos. We are also excited to announce that the main room will feature a special 22 Watt laser show by Vorperian Cyberarts along with custom video game themed projection mapped visuals. This is a professional networking event for game developers, artists, students, indies, or really anyone interested in game development. You do NOT need a GDC pass to attend, this is an event open to the public, must be 18+ to enter, so please RSVP, attend and show your support.

What: Foundation Capital (investors in Jasper, Regie, Anyscale, Cerebras) is hosting an exclusive hackathon for a select batch of founders building in AI on the heels of all the announcements this week. The goal of this event is to spark ideas that address new and old problems in bold, innovative ways and to make connections that will lead to meaningful collaboration.

What: Join us as we bike from the Philz Truck by Marina Green up to Hawk Hill in the Marin Headlands and back to Philz for some coffee and mingling. We had an awesome time doing this last quarter so we're running it back.
