Hi SF IRL! There's a ton of vibrance and energy coming back into the city and at SF IRL, we are excited to be a part of it. Excited to come with you all with some great events for Issue #83. It’s a crazy busy week with SF Climate Week, Startup Grind, and Stripe Sessions all happening this week.

If you didn’t know, I’m excited to announce the launch of inreallife.tech. SF IRL is now part of the inreallife.tech family & we’re expanding with LA IRL & NYC IRL to showcase the top tech, startup and venture events in those cities as well and you can subscribe in the link above.

I'm Jonathan, the creator of SF IRL. I've been a Bay Area resident all my life and moved into San Francisco about 3 years ago. My full-time job is at Brex as an XIR where I meet founders and VCs while trying to create a community in the city. My vision for SF IRL is simple. Showcase the best tech + startup events in SF and to connect all of our builders and investors together. We are a growing community having over 6000+ subscribers. As we keep growing, if you enjoy reading these, please share this with your friends so we can hit 7,000 readers. As always, SF IRL is one of my many side projects. If you like to be involved in helping, please shoot me an email!

Events Coming Up 🎉

I’ve also been hosting a variety of GP/LP dinners for emerging managers in the Bay Area, if you are an emerging GP or an LP that invests in emerging managers, please fill out this form if you’re interested in getting invited to future GP/LP Dinners that I throw in SF.

I’ve made a form to connect the best founders raising with my list of VCs. If you are a founder raising your next round and want to potentially be featured to investors in the SF IRL network, please fill out this form.

Location: San Francisco

Time: 5:30-8:30pm

What: DSPy is a framework that enables you to program and optimize large language model (LLM) systems. DSPy introduces two new concepts: the programming model and compilers. The programming model lets you define each component in an LLM call, such as the task description, examples, and input and output fields. The compilers can then improve the quality and cost of your DSPy program. DSPy has integrations with Cohere’s Command R LLM, Arize Phoenix observability, and the Weaviate vector database.

We will begin with lighting talks from each company and then hand it over to Omar Khattab for a deep dive tutorial. We will open-source the demo, so feel free to bring your laptops.
